This is a quick tutorial on how to lock your Nokia N70 phone to 3G mode. This will definitely help a lot in boosting up your internet connection on your phone. I strongly recommend this for those who love downloading huge files over the web.
Note: Before doing this, make sure that you have sufficient 3G coverage in your area otherwise, this will not work for you. Check with your service provider if the area you're currently in has 3G coverage...
Requirements:
*laptop/PC
*Data cable connector

Steps:
1. Install the Phoenix Software to your laptop/PC
2. Once installed, Connect your N70 to your laptop/PC using the data cable connector
3. Once connected, open the Phoenix Software and select your USB connection under "Connection" (just right beside the settings)
4. Once selected, click File>Scan Product>
5. Once detected, click Product>System Mode>Selected System Mode> choose WCMDA and Write.
6. Your phone will reboot but this time, it's 3G locked.
7. Just in case you want to use your phone in dual mode instead of 3G, just go to your phone Settings> Network> Network Mode> set to Dual Mode or GSM.
Good Luck!!!!
